Farhad has developed multiple collegiate and high ranked national players such as Cash Hanzlik who finished his junior career as the 2nd top player in the USA. He has coached in Grandslams, US Open 2019 and Australian Open 2020. He is based in NYC, and he travels periodically to Pacific Northwest to work with his clients. Farhad was honored to receive the award of “Coach of the Year” in 2013 and “HS Coach of the Year” in 2016 in PNW by USPTA.
Farhad studied Biomedical Engineering and his degree helped him to have a deep appreciation of biomechanics. In this respect, his mission and commitment is helping his students develop world class strokes.
In addition, he was invited to participate in the USTA High Performance Training which is lead by some of most well-known coaches in the world such as Jose Higueras former # 6 in the world who worked with Roger Federer, Todd Martin, Micheal Chang and helped Jim Courier to reach #1 in the world; and Tom Gullikson, former USA Davis Cup Team and coached Jennifer Capriati, Andy Roddick and helped Andre Agassi to win the Olympic Gold Medal.
Farhad is a USPTA Tennis Fitness Specialists and uses his knowledge on court and off court to design periodizations.

Collegiate Coach
Farhad has an active role in the USTA and the USPTA to train the coaches. He is one of the four USPTA Testers in the Eastern Sections and has helped over 100 coaches to become a certified coach. He has been running trainings and workshops for the coaches, his mission in tennis industry is to bringing up the coaching quality in the US. He was awarded as the USPTA Tester of the Year 2020 in the Eastern Section.
Farhad is a former collegiate coach worked with the NCAA D1 Portland State University Women’s Tennis Team and NCAA D3 Pratt Institute Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams. He also has been serving as a USA Coach and coached multiple national and sectional team events such as Nationals 18’s, Sectionals 16’s, Zonals 14’s, Spring National Team Championships 12’s.
Playing background
Farhad as a player was ranked # 1 in most of his junior career in his country, and his ITF combined Singles and Doubles ranking was 400. He recently beat # 6 in the world in 35’s age group in an ITF Grade 1 Tournament in Australia and played in the finals. He believes competing as a coach creates a great insight and is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the game and different situations to benefit his high performance players.
